This morning, when I read about the death of Stan Lee, I felt very sorry and it wasn’t because of his age (I wish I’ll be able to reach 95), but it was because of the man and what he represented for the entire comic world. Only a few words came to my mind: “Goodbye Stan”.

Stan Lee has been the father of many Marvel’s heroes, including what I can affirm to be one of my favorite, Spider-man.

The web crawler has always been an inspiration for me, being the typical teenager afflicted by many problems in his social life and in love with a seemingly impossible girl to reach. Plus, this teenager had to coexist with a job he needed to procure some money, the caring for his aunt and, from time to time, with the need to tell the entire world that he is Spider-man.

I am just a simple fan, nothing more, I haven’t even read all the comics about Spider-man or many other Stan’s heroes, but nevertheless I wanted to spend a few moments remembering him, using my blog to this purpose.

There’s little else I can say about what happened expect R.I.P. Stan Lee, knowing that you will always be remembered by people like me, who will always see your face when reading/playing/thinking about the super-heroes they love.

Thank you for everything but especially for fueling the dreams of a lot of people around the World. Goodbye Stan.

I’d like to promote 2 websites (to which is not affiliated in any way) that could help you better understand who was Stan Lee. I’m referring to Stan Lee’s wiki page and to his official website (as stated on the Wikipedia page) for more information about his life and his work.
